In the late 80's and early 90's Treason wrote and recorded a number of original tunes. One year (sometime in the 90's) at the Beach party, DJ Dave decided to give the band a "Best Of" CD he had made of various Treason originals. Listed below are the liner notes from that CD.

"Began as a Marijuana induced science project in the 1970's (tree = sun), Treason has followed in the path of a band on the brink of stardom. Their first album, "Smoke this" was panned by many critics as just a bunch of bong noises. Inevitably, the band discovered instruments and the rest is history.

Boasting more line-up changes than Yes, Treason played around with the typical superstar format of fast drugs, hard women & loose food. Eventually they got it right & success was right around the corner. Unfortunately the band was too drunk to drive and too stoned to care.

Playing such places as "some outdoor gig", "Nick's house", "The Baker's Banquet", "The New Telford Inn" & "The Lower Salford Pub" to name a few, they commanded a following in the 10's of 10's.

The name "Treason" will go down in history - but probably not with these guys in mind. Scott, Nick, Doug, Gary, Russ, Doug, Brian, Guy, Bob, Fritz, and Joel (etc.) We salute you!!"
